Each year at the Wisconsin State Music Conference, we offer a unique opportunity to high school students considering majoring in music in college. This special Friday program, called Aspiring Music Majors (AMM) introduces 9-12 grade high school students to the world of music at the post-secondary level. Students have the opportunity to visit music representatives from Wisconsin’s universities and colleges, take in special conference sessions, attend performances, visit exhibits and get advice from current music majors.
In addition, AMM includes an “Exhibit Hall Experience”. Beginning at 12:30 p.m. each participant (between 75-100 students) has the opportunity to visit participating company booths, to interact with exhibitors, to look over materials and gather a small goody from each visited booth. Each student who meets required level of visits is entered to win door prizes given at the end of the day.
There is no outside cost to opt in – you simply provide the small item of your choice (pens, pamphlets, etc.) to share with each of the students. Exhibitors also have the option of donating a larger item such as gear, merchandise, or gift card to be given as a door prize at the end of the day.
If you are interested in participating in this activity, please complete the simple online form by October 1.
