Wisconsin Music Educators Association (WMEA) Aspiring Music Majors is a program designed for high school students in Wisconsin who are interested in pursuing a college education and career in music. This event, organized by WMEA, provides opportunities for students to explore various aspects of music education and performance at the collegiate level, and it takes place on the Friday of our Wisconsin State Music Conference.
Sponsorship of Aspiring Music Majors demonstrates support from Wisconsin colleges, universities, non-profits and corporate friends who are committed to ensuring our youth have access to information and support to begin a career pathway that involves music knowledge and understanding. It additionally demonstrates a commitment to the teacher retention and recruitment needs to ensure all students have well-trained music educators in classrooms across our state and country.
